Sodium Carbonate also known as disodium carbonate is a chemical substance white in color and its aqueous solution is clear and colorless (chemical formula Na2CO3).

It is also known as Sodium Carbonate, and is a white, anhydrous, odorless powder.

It is non-toxic and non-flammable, thus it is safe to use and even kept in the household. The difference between dense & light sodium carbonate is only in density, particle size and their application, and they are not chemically different from each other.
